Submitted by: H lcio Rodriguez

When I started bodybuilding I always kept looking for the bigger guys to see if I could find some magic secrets in their routines. What do this guys eat? How do they train? Where is the magic key to get there?

Than I started to buy all magazines about building muscle, heavy training, grow fast. It took me more than 5 years trying to discover the magic pill that turns you from an average physique to something to be noticed. I wasn t a skinny guy because I did competing swimming for 10 years of my life. From that I played Volleybal for more 4 years until I hurt my knee. Than I started with Muay Thai and Kick Boxing that I had to quit after an eye injury that could make me blind. So I had a good appearance with an athlete body, than I sarted with weights.

I became addicted to weight training and a bodybuilding fan. Arnold was in the op of his career and was my Idol. I bought his book and stated following his routines that really helped me out in that time. After 10 years of training I decided that I could be in a bodybuilding contest. I won the state championship for beginners that year and a year after that I became the amateur state champion for 3 years in a row. I was at the top now. After trying all the routines and proving all supplements on market I became a reference in my city and state. I had many stones on my way that could make me quit, but the only thing that never thought to stop was my training. It s a lifestyle that I enjoy right when I wake up in the morning until I go to sleep at night. I dream with my next day workout and what am I going to do next day.

People accused me of narcisism , I call it self esteem . But what are the good news. I am going to share with you my actual routine.

I am training 1 day on to 1 day off. This is my new experiment and I found a better recovery and more energy for training one day an resting next day. I can do heavier workouts this way and on the day off, I can supplement and eat for better recovery. If you hear he phrase: Supplements don t work don t pay attention to it. I take all supplements available in the market. I tried everything and for a over 40 years old man I say : you need to supplement, but just find what works for you and take it from blends you can thrust. Hat works for me might not work for you, so find your way. There are some exercises that I named as Classical ones. This ones you must do because they are proven for many years to be in every bodybuilder routine, but with time you will find some that work better for you as a complement of your workout. I call it thin tunning.

Don t try doing r Mr. Olympia s routine if you are no Mr. Olympia. Keep going focused on your objectives and never quit. The reward is Great!!!!
